- Encourages the development of AAC services in Canada and internationally
- Encourages availability of sufficient funding to meet the communicative needs of people who use AAC
- Publishes a national newsletter: Figuratively Speaking
- Maintains a list of Provincial contacts who provide AAC in Canada
- Works with its membership and AAC related non-profit organizations to advance its objectives
